Why Caregivers Choose Seniors Helping Seniors® Southern Arizona
This isn't a job where you clock in and disappear. It's a few hours with someone who's glad you came.
Work Close to Home
Your clients are your neighbors. We match by proximity, so you're never driving across the county for a two-hour visit.
Set Your Own Schedule
Tell us the hours you want and we build around them. You'll never be pressured into a shift that doesn't fit.
No Experience Necessary
If you've cared for a spouse, a parent, or a friend, you already have what matters. We provide the paid training.
Real Support Behind You
A local coordinator you can actually reach, a team that answers the phone, and backup the moment something comes up.
What the Work Actually Looks Like
Most visits are a few hours. Here's what they usually involve.

Company & Conversation
Sitting down together, a walk, a card game, a drive to see something. For a lot of clients this is the part that matters most.

Errands & Getting Around
Groceries, prescriptions, a ride to a doctor's appointment, a stop at the pharmacy or the post office.

Help Around the House
Light tidying, laundry, a home-cooked meal, and a hand with the everyday things that have gotten harder.
You are not a nurse and we don't ask you to be. If a client needs medical care, that's a different service.
We Train You. You're Never Sent In Cold.
Every caregiver goes through paid training before their first visit, and our digital training portal stays available to you the whole time you're with us. Background check and Arizona fingerprint clearance are handled by us, at no cost to you.
NOW HIRING — SOUTHERN ARIZONA
Start Your Application
Three steps, and the first one takes two minutes.

Step 1 Tell us about yourself. Fill out the short form — name, contact, and a little about the kind of help you'd like to give.

Step 2 We'll call you. A real conversation about your schedule, the areas you'd like to work, and what you're comfortable doing.

Step 3 Training and your first match. We handle the background check and fingerprint clearance, walk you through paid training, and introduce you to a client nearby.
Not sure it's for you?
You're not alone — some of our caregivers weren't sure either. They'd looked after someone they loved and wondered whether that counted as experience. It does.

Questions From People Considering This
Answers for interested caregivers in Southern Arizona
No. If you've looked after a spouse, a parent, or a friend, you already have the part that can't be taught. We provide paid training for everything else.
As many or as few as you want. Some of our caregivers work six hours a week, others closer to thirty. You tell us your availability and we build around it.
For most positions, yes — errands and appointments are a real part of the work. Tell us on the application if that's a problem and we'll see what we can match you with.
Almost certainly not. Our caregivers are seniors themselves. That peer match is the whole idea, and it's what our clients ask for.
We'll go over your exact rate on the phone, since it depends on the type of care and the hours. To give you a real number: most of our companion caregivers start at $16.50–$17.50 an hour, and caregivers with personal care experience start at $17.00–$18.50. We won't waste your time — if it isn't a fit, we'll tell you.
Faster than most people expect. We run a background check, you attend an orientation class, and onboarding is typically completed in 3 to 5 days. From there we match you with your first client.
